The Dundee Diehards

Although I am no longer an active member of the Dundee Diehards, I still remain on standby for them when they need extra members. The picture shows us in British khaki during the filming of the movie on the 1906 Bambatha Rebellion. I have acted as their narrator on the 2007 commemoration of the First Anglo Boer War, more notably the Battle of Amajuba, at Fort Amiel on February 17 of this year. Military Historians will of course note that the correct name of this conflict is the First War of Independence of 1881. The Battle of Majuba also took place on February 27, not 17. The Diehards are going to perform the Battle of Isandhlwana (22 January 1879) and The Battle of Rorke's Drift at the Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg later this year. The event promises to be a show-stopper.
